I was a little late to the Pinterest train and I’ve been trying to catch up ever since! After finally jumping in, I immersed myself in some great boards and followed some amazing pinners who have inspired me to take my teaching to the next level. For every point of the curriculum, whether it’s teaching rhythm, the staff, folk dancing, recorder, movement activities or even an after-school choir, Pinterest has me covered! Today, I’ve rounded up 10 of my favorite Pinterest boards from my TpT Music Crew friends.

Folk Dancing Resources

Melissa Stouffer of Mrs. Stouffer’s Music Room has gathered some quality sources to get you started with folk dancing in the classroom! She’s got demonstration videos, TpT resources and blogs. Contributors include TpT Crew members The Bates Clef, Music with Miss W, I Heart Teaching Music, The Rested Musician, Hutzel House of Music, Musical Interactions and more.

TpT Music Crew

Our very own TpT Crew Pinterest board is full of links to some of the best Teachers Pay Teachers products and blog posts in music education! (But maybe I’m a little biased?) Find everything you need from Music Teacher Resources, Mrs. Chandler’s Music Room, Rhythm and Glues, Elementary Etudes, Musical Gems, Music Mom, Music Educator Resources by Jennifer Foxx, Noteworthy by Jen, Cowgirl Compositions and many more!

Music Educational Blogs

Sandra Hendrickson of Sing Play Creatively has a board stocked with music education blog post pins! Some of my favorites that I’ve found here include pins from The Yellow Brick Road, Floating Down the River, Silly O Music, and Sing to Kids. Drumming, ukulele technique, movement, holiday favorites…..they’re all here!

Integrating Technology in the Classroom

This board by Shelley Tomich of Pitch Publications is all about integrating technology in the music classroom. Anyone who knows me knows that technology is important to my teaching and I really enjoy learning from all the pins on this board!

Are you teaching recorder to your elementary students? Check out this board for some new ideas! TpT Crew members Ginny’s Music Space, Music with Mrs. Tannenblatt and Organized Chaos (and more!) have you covered!

Teaching Ukulele

This one is especially exciting to me as I’ve been learning ukulele myself! Shelley Tomich shares all her ukulele secrets with us here on this Pinterest board!

Kodaly Inspired Music Class

Melissa Stouffer has a great board for those of us teaching with the Kodály method! If you’re looking for some resources for your next lesson, hop on this board and take a look at her TpT products!

Favorite Activities

This Pinterest board is a collection of some of the best music education activities on the internet! Find great ideas pinned by Sally’s Sea of Songs, Mrs. Peters’ Tuneful Teaching, and Rhythmically Yours (me!).

Music Education (including Orff)

Are you looking for Orff resources? Maybe some Dalcroze resources? Sing Play Creatively has created a board that has it all!!

Prepare your elementary music choir with some really useful pins on this board! Tamara Peters has gathered videos, blogs, and even bulletin board ideas!

I hope you’ll take the time to follow these boards and my fellow TpT Music Crew pinners!

Rhythmically Yours,
